Treatment that Fits Your Life
Consider Invisalign to get the beautiful straight teeth you’ve always wanted — without braces.
The Invisalign system is made of clear acrylic aligners that fit over your teeth and are designed to straighten your smile. They’re removable, making it easier to eat, drink, brush and floss.
Invisalign is much more comfortable than traditional metal bracket braces and can give you stunning results.
TOP 1% Diamond Invisalign Provider
Dream Orthodontics is proud to be a TOP 1% Diamond Invisalign Provider. This designation is a testament to our unwavering commitment to excellence in Invisalign. As a TOP 1% provider, we are among the most experienced Invisalign practitioners in the world, having successfully treated a significant number of patients with this innovative teeth-straightening system.
What Is Invisalign®?
Invisalign® is a clear aligner system made by Align Technology. Instead of bonded brackets and wires, it uses a series of custom-made plastic trays — called aligners — to move your teeth gradually into their correct positions. Each aligner is slightly different from the last. You wear each set for about one to two weeks, then move to the next in the series. Over time, your teeth shift into alignment.
The aligners are made from SmartTrack® material, a patented thermoplastic developed by Align Technology. It applies gentle, consistent pressure against your teeth, is comfortable to wear, and fits closely enough to your gum line to be nearly invisible when in place.
Invisalign® is not a mail-order product. Your treatment is planned, monitored, and adjusted by Dr. Morra throughout the entire process. The aligner trays are custom-manufactured based on 3D scans taken in our office and a detailed treatment plan Dr. Morra designs for your specific teeth, bite, and goals.
A Modern Approach
Invisalign® takes a modern approach to straightening teeth. It uses a custom-made series of aligners created for you and only you. These aligner trays are made of smooth, comfortable and virtually invisible plastic that you wear over your teeth.
Wearing the aligners will gently move your teeth into place little by little, based on the exact movements your orthodontist plans for you. There are no metal brackets to attach and no wires to tighten. You just pop in a new set of aligners about every two weeks, until your treatment is complete.
You’ll get a great smile without a treatment that gets in the way of your daily life. The best part about the whole process is that most people won’t even know you’re straightening your teeth.
This nearly-invisible option to straighten your teeth is truly changing the way people see orthodontic treatment. Dr. Morra has a lot of experience treating patients with Invisalign, and we’re excited to offer this technology to our South Surrey braces patients.
What Can Invisalign® Treat?
Invisalign® has come a long way from when it was only used for mild cases. Today, with advanced planning tools and attachments, it can address a wide range of orthodontic issues, including:
- Crowded teeth – teeth that overlap or twist due to limited space in the jaw
- Gapped teeth – spaces between teeth that affect appearance and function
- Overbite – upper front teeth that overlap too far over the lower teeth
- Underbite – lower teeth that sit ahead of the upper teeth
- Crossbite – upper and lower teeth that don't line up correctly side to side
- Open bite – upper and lower front teeth that don't touch when biting down
- Generally crooked or misaligned teeth
That said, Invisalign® isn't the right fit for every case. Some complex bite issues, certain types of jaw discrepancies, and patients with bridgework may be better served by fixed braces. Dr. Morra will give you a clear, honest assessment at your consultation. If Invisalign® is right for you, she'll say so. If it isn't, she'll tell you that too.
How Invisalign® Works: The Treatment Process
Step 1 – Free Consultation
Your first visit to Dream Orthodontics is always complimentary. Dr. Morra takes photos, reviews your dental history, and does a full clinical assessment of your teeth and bite. She'll tell you whether Invisalign® is a good fit for your case, walk you through what treatment would look like, and give you an honest timeline. No pressure, no rush.
Step 2 – 3D Digital Scanning and Treatment Planning
If you decide to move forward with Invisalign®, we use 3D digital imaging to take a precise scan of your teeth and jaw. No messy impressions. Dr. Morra uses this data to map out every stage of your tooth movement, from where your teeth are now to where they'll end up. You can see a preview of your projected result before your aligners are even made.
Step 3 – Receiving Your Aligners
Your custom Invisalign® aligners are manufactured based on Dr. Morra's treatment plan and shipped to our office. At your pick-up appointment, Dr. Morra checks the fit of your first set of trays and goes through everything you need to know about wearing them, cleaning them, and progressing through your sets.
Step 4 – Wearing Your Aligners
You wear each set of Invisalign® aligners for approximately one to two weeks, for a minimum of 22 hours per day. They come out for eating, drinking anything other than water, brushing, and flossing. You progress through your aligner sets in sequence. Because they're removable, there are no food restrictions and cleaning your teeth stays straightforward throughout treatment.
Step 5 – Progress Check-ins
You'll come in every 6 to 8 weeks for a progress appointment. Dr. Morra checks how your teeth are moving against the treatment plan and provides your next batch of aligners. These visits are shorter than traditional braces appointments since there are no wires to adjust. Existing patients can also use our virtual visit option for minor check-ins between appointments.
Step 6 – Refinements if Needed
Some patients need a refinement phase near the end of treatment — additional aligners to fine-tune the final tooth positions. This is a normal part of the Invisalign® process, not a sign that something went wrong. Dr. Morra plans for this possibility from the beginning and monitors your case to catch any adjustments early.
Step 7 – Retainers
Once your teeth have reached their final positions, you'll be fitted for retainers. Wearing your retainer as instructed is what keeps your Invisalign® results in place long-term. Most patients wear their retainer full-time initially, then transition to nights only.
How Long Does Invisalign® Take?
Treatment time depends on the complexity of your case. Most Invisalign® patients at Dream Orthodontics complete treatment in 9 to 18 months. Simpler cases can finish in less time. More involved cases — significant crowding, bite correction, or complex tooth movements — may take longer.
One thing that affects treatment time more than anything else is compliance. Wearing your Invisalign® aligners for at least 22 hours per day, every day, keeps your treatment on schedule. Falling below that consistently adds time. Our FAQ page covers common questions about timelines and what affects them.
Differences Between Invisalign & Braces
Unlike traditional braces, smooth plastic Invisalign aligners don't have metal components that can irritate your mouth.
Because they’re removed when you eat, you won't have to watch what you eat like you would when wearing braces – bring on the popcorn and peanuts.
In fact, the aligners must be removed for eating and for drinking anything other than water. You need to make sure you’re willing to do that before you decide on Invisalign clear braces.
To prevent staining, you’ll need to clean your teeth before putting the aligners back on after
each time you eat.
Of course, brushing and flossing are much easier than with traditional braces, since you don’t have to work around any brackets and wires.
Invisalign® for Teens and Adults
Invisalign® for Teens
Invisalign® has a version specifically designed for teenagers, with a few features that account for the realities of teen life. Compliance indicators on the aligners let parents and Dr. Morra see at a glance whether the trays are being worn as directed. Replacement aligners are also included in the teen program for cases where trays get lost or damaged.
Teen patients who choose Invisalign® avoid food restrictions, can remove the aligners for sports and musical instruments, and don't have to deal with bracket irritation. Learn more about Invisalign® for teens and how the teen-specific program works.
Invisalign® for Kids
Invisalign® First is an early treatment option designed for younger patients who still have a mix of baby and permanent teeth. It addresses jaw development and spacing issues at an age when the jaw is still growing, which can simplify or reduce the need for treatment later on. More information is available on our Invisalign® for kids page.
Invisalign® for Adults
About one in four orthodontic patients in Canada today is an adult. Many of them come to us specifically because Invisalign® fits into a professional life in a way that metal brackets simply don't. You can straighten your teeth while continuing to present yourself confidently at work and in social settings. Adults in Morgan Crossing, Rosemary Heights, Elgin Chantrell, Ocean Park, and across South Surrey and White Rock have been completing Invisalign® treatment at Dream Orthodontics since 2008. Our orthodontics for adults page has more on what adult treatment looks like.
Why Choose Dream Orthodontics for Invisalign® in South Surrey?
Specialist Care, Not GP Care
Dr. Morra is a Certified Specialist in Orthodontics with 11+ years of dedicated training, including a Master of Science in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from the University of Manitoba. When you get Invisalign® at Dream Orthodontics, your treatment is planned and supervised by a specialist from start to finish, not delegated to staff or managed remotely.
This matters because Invisalign® outcomes depend heavily on how well the treatment is planned and monitored. A specialist who treats orthodontic cases all day, every day, brings a different level of clinical judgment than a general dentist offering Invisalign® alongside fillings and cleanings.
TOP 1% Diamond Invisalign® Provider Status
Dream Orthodontics holds TOP 1% Diamond Provider status from Align Technology, reflecting the high volume and range of Invisalign® cases Dr. Morra treats annually. This level of experience means she's seen and managed a wide variety of case types and knows how to adjust treatment when teeth aren't responding exactly as planned.
3D Digital Treatment Planning
We use 3D digital scanning software to plan every Invisalign® case with precision. You can see a simulation of how your teeth will move before treatment even starts. This removes the guesswork and gives you a realistic picture of what to expect.
Free Consultation — In-Office or Virtual
Your first appointment is always complimentary. We also offer virtual consultations for patients who want to get started from home before coming in. In many cases, same-day treatment start is available.
Direct Insurance Billing and Zero-Interest Financing
Our team handles all insurance paperwork directly. You don't file your own claims. We also offer zero-interest payment plans to make Invisalign® treatment costs manageable over time. Full details are available on our insurance and financing page.

Frequently Asked Questions About Invisalign®
Is Invisalign® as effective as braces?
For the cases it's suited to, yes. Invisalign® can treat a wide range of alignment and bite issues effectively. The outcomes depend on proper treatment planning and patient compliance. Some complex cases are better handled with fixed braces, and Dr. Morra will tell you honestly which applies to your situation.
How many hours a day do I have to wear Invisalign® aligners?
A minimum of 22 hours per day. The aligners come out for eating, drinking anything besides water, special occasions, and brushing and flossing. The rest of the time, they stay in. Consistent wear is what keeps Invisalign® treatment on track.
Can I eat and drink normally with Invisalign®?
Yes, with one rule: remove the aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water. Because the trays come out for meals, there are no food restrictions during Invisalign® treatment. After eating, brush your teeth before putting the aligners back in to avoid staining.
Will people be able to tell I'm wearing Invisalign®?
Most people won't notice. The SmartTrack® material is clear and the trays are trimmed to your gum line, so they sit discreetly over your teeth. Up close, in good light, someone looking for them might spot them. In everyday conversation and at normal distance, they're essentially invisible.
How much does Invisalign® cost in South Surrey?
Invisalign® costs vary based on case complexity and treatment length. In BC, Invisalign® treatment is generally in a similar range to ceramic braces. Many private insurance plans include orthodontic benefits that apply to Invisalign®. Our team reviews your coverage at your first visit and handles all billing directly. Learn more about insurance and financing.
Does MSP cover Invisalign® in BC?
No. BC's Medical Services Plan does not cover orthodontic treatment including Invisalign®. Private dental insurance plans often do cover a portion, typically up to a lifetime maximum. Our team will confirm your benefits and handle direct billing from your first appointment.
What's the difference between Invisalign® and mail-order aligners?
Mail-order aligner services send trays to your home without an orthodontist examining your teeth in person, taking proper diagnostic records, or monitoring how your teeth and bite are responding throughout treatment. Invisalign® through a certified orthodontist involves a full clinical assessment, precise 3D treatment planning, and ongoing supervision by a specialist who can catch and correct problems as they arise. They are not equivalent services.
Am I a good candidate for Invisalign®?
The best way to find out is a consultation with Dr. Morra. Generally, Invisalign® works well for teens and adults with mild to moderate alignment issues. It can also handle more complex cases in experienced hands. Patients with bridgework, certain bite patterns, or very severe crowding may be better suited to fixed braces. Dr. Morra will be clear with you about which category your case falls into.
What happens if I lose or damage an Invisalign® aligner?
Contact our office as soon as possible. We can advise you on whether to move ahead to the next set or go back to a previous one while a replacement is ordered. Try not to skip sets without guidance, as this can throw off the Invisalign® treatment sequence.
Do I need a referral to book a consultation?
No referral needed. You can book directly online or call us at 604-542-8552. We also accept referrals from local dentists through our doctor referral program.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes, completely. No cost, no commitment. Dr. Morra will assess your case, go through your Invisalign® options, and answer your questions honestly. If Invisalign® is the right fit, she'll tell you. If something else would serve you better, she'll tell you that too.
Considering Other Options?
Invisalign® is one of several treatments available at Dream Orthodontics. Depending on your clinical situation and preferences, metal braces or clear ceramic braces may be a better fit. Our treatments overview page gives you a full picture of what's available so you can come to your consultation informed.
